In the series “Nostalgia” my source of inspiration are short stories, written by my mother, about her childhood in the late 1940’s and early 1950’s. The paintings are made with gouache on paper and are based on old black and white family photos from that time period.

I hope that my works may radiate the atmosphere and aesthetics of that era as well as evoke feelings of nostalgia for one’s own childhood.

I trully believe that now more than ever, it is important for all of us to recall those times where there was an abundance of enthusiasm for the simple things of life and a sense of belonging created by the soul warming love from family and friends.
