The media I use is mainly acrylics and aquarelles. It is the contemporary realism that has influenced me the most. My inspiration comes from places I have been, people I have met and have been captured by me in a photograph. I am interested in depicting snapshots of human life, a life in harmony with the natural environment. Art immortalizes this snapshot that is, by nature, so ephemeral and so easily slips into oblivion. Art gives duration to the now, whether it is a movement, an expression, an idea, an emotion, a light or a wave and provides time and space for me and the viewer to observe, dissect and decipher them, each of us from our own perspective. Creating and sharing this art, is an invitation to a dialogue about the fleeting beauty within a moment. It gives the conscious mind a chance to explore any range of emotions, normally hidden in a frozen moment of time. Being a medical doctor, I desire my art to have a healing impact and I hope it can make people feel better.
